I make a butter cream with a hand mixer, I mix the butter for a solid 5 mins before I add any sugar so it's doable just more "labour" and time intensive than a stand mixer.. Which I have on my list lol.

For the hash brown nest egg things, it's weird. If you watch the video for that recipe, it doesn't match what the recipe says. The recipe says 15 minutes after you add the eggs, but the video says 10-12 minutes, which would actually result in a runny egg.

About the amount of pasta in the recipe with the mozzarella cheese. Remember PW has two big boys and two older daughters plus a very active husband so their appetites are probably through the roof. So a pound of pasta is probably what works for them.

Those substitutions did not make the pie any healthier im sorry. Stop counting calories and cut the amount of animal products your consuming and youll lose weight

Did someone tell you already to save your egg yolks in the fridge with a little water on top. You can beat them up with a whole egg to use when coating chicken or fish to pan fry.

You can always buy egg whites so that you're not wasting the yolks when you bake.

That noodle salad would be easy to make low carb. I think I might try that

Love this meal prep! I used to tell my daughter that I added scallions instead of green onions. When she heard onion it turned her off. When it had scallions she was fine with it. Not sure what the difference is but a nice trick. Also if you make the noodle bake maybe blend the white part of the “scallions” in with the cottage cheese you mentioned maybe blending. Thanks for all the videos.

Leftover egg yolks? I love homemade pudding, which calls for egg yolks. You can also add an extra egg yolk to pancake or waffle batter, or french toast mixture, or add extra yolks to scrambled eggs. They will keep a couple of days in the fridge in a covered container.

Great video, Jen! I like PW recipes, but I love your demo style and especially hearing your real-world review of each recipe. I love seeing recipes that can be divided to share or freeze, like the sour cream noodle bake. We're a small family of 3, so this is a good way for me to divide a big recipe.
