    Bad Recipe and bad procedure of cooking. The haldi remain uncooked and a bitter taste is added. It is very important to add haldi before potatoes .

    toor dal and arhar dal are same or different? and also how long have to boil dal as we can see when u pour it. it looks like water and very then liquid.

    Try this…

    Cut the potatoes.
    Half boil/ steam them.
    then add oil to the pan and simply fry it.

    you will get a crunchier out site…almost like Tikka.
